AGRA: Two boys aged 10 and 12 years, respectively, have been accused of raping a nine-year-old girl in a village in Hathras district. The accused allegedly lured the minor to a field under the pretext of feeding her berries.According to police, the incident took place on March 6 at around 2 pm. The girl, a Class 4 student, had gone to a nearby forested area to collect grass when she encountered the two boys. After the incident, she returned home and informed her mother, who immediately approached the police. Both the accused and the girl are residents of the same village. The girl’s mother filed a complaint alleging that while the 10-year-old held the girl’s hands, the 12-year-old assaulted her.The SHO of the local police station said on Sunday, “A case has been registered against the two named juveniles under BNS section 70-1 (gang rape) and 5/6 of the Pocso Act (aggravated penetrative sexual assault). The girl has undergone a medical examination. Both accused were detained late Saturday evening and produced before a magistrate, who sent them to a juvenile home in Hathras.”
