Emraan Hashmi is all set to be back as Shivam Pandit in the highly anticipated film ‘Awarapan 2’. The movie is a sequel to his cult classic 2007 release ‘Awarapan’. Now, as promised, the makers have officially dropped the teaser of the romantic drama today (June 29, 2026), which marks 19 years of its first instalment. Let’s take a look at the teaser here.

The teaser opens with Emraan Hashmi’s character riding a bike as he delivers the powerful dialogue, “Kuch logo ki kahaniya unki marzi se khatam nahi hoti, unki kahani, dusro ke liye likhi jaati hai.” It then shows him paying tribute to Aaliyah Hamid, the character portrayed by Shriya Saran in Awarapan.As a new rendition of the iconic song Toh Phir Aao plays in the background, Emraan can be heard saying, “Dard se purana rishta hai mera.” The teaser also offers glimpses of Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, and several other cast members. The soundtrack of the film is still considered one of the best out there.The film follows Shivam Pandit, a contract killer tasked with keeping an eye on his boss’s mistress. However, after learning that she is a victim of sex trafficking, he chooses to help reunite her with the man she loves. His decision sets him on a journey of redemption, forcing him to confront his violent past while risking everything to give her a chance at freedom.
