Ketan Agarwal murder case: Police seize Chetan Chaudhary's 2-wheeler used to 'reach' Lohagad Fort; hoodie, headphones recovered

PUNE: Lonavala Rural Police seized the two-wheeler allegedly used by accused Chetan Chaudhary in connection with the investigation into the alleged murder of 26-year-old businessman Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort, police said on Sunday.According to police, the two-wheeler was allegedly used by Chaudhary to travel from Pune to Lohagad Fort on the day of the incident. Investigators believe the vehicle forms an important part of the evidence in the ongoing probe.Police also recovered the hoodie and headphones that Chaudhary was allegedly wearing on the day of the incident.Officials said the seized two-wheeler, along with the clothing and other articles, has undergone forensic examination as part of the investigation.Earlier on Sunday, Lonavala Rural Police took the two accused, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, to Lohagad Fort to recreate the alleged crime scene.The reconstruction exercise was conducted at the spot where Ketan Agarwal allegedly fell to his death after being pushed into a gorge, according to the police. Investigators recreated the sequence of events as part of efforts to corroborate evidence gathered during the investigation. Speaking to ANI, Pune Rural Police SP Sandeep Singh Gill said, “The accused have been taken to the Lohagad Fort, specifically to the spot where the incident occurred, to recreate the scene. The entire sequence of events is being reconstructed: the route taken, where the accused positioned themselves, the specific actions performed, and how the incident unfolded. The accused has provided details regarding this.Ketan Agarwal’s death was initially treated as an accidental fall. However, following the investigation, police registered a murder case, alleging that he was pushed off the cliff by Siya Goyal, Chetan Chaudhary, or both. The investigation is ongoing.Earlier, the parents of the prime accused, Siya Goyal — Pravin Goyal and Pooja Goyal — appeared at the Lonavala police station for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.Ketan Agrawal died after falling into a gorge at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18. The case was initially registered as an accidental death but later converted into a murder investigation following the police probe.Lonavala Rural Police allege that Siya Goyal was unwilling to marry Agrawal at this stage of her life and was under family pressure to go ahead with the wedding.Siya Goyal and her friend, Chetan Chaudhary, were arrested on June 23 in connection with the case.
