NoPixel 5.0 has brought a wave of excitement back to GTA RP, but the return has also revived an old question: who gets a place on the server? Several familiar names were missing from the whitelist when the latest version launched. Now, NoPixel co-owner xQc has addressed the controversy, arguing that some streamers were left out because of their own choices and past conflicts with the server.
xQc addresses NoPixel 5.0 streamer controversy
NoPixel 5.0 launched on September 8, drawing major attention from the GTA RP community. Some well-known roleplayers returned for the new chapter, while others who had become closely associated with earlier versions were nowhere to be seen.Among those missing were LordKebun, PENTA, Silent and Summit1G. Their absence quickly became a talking point among viewers, particularly because these creators have played major roles in the wider GTA RP scene.Summit1G had already addressed the situation with his audience before the launch. He did not appear interested in turning the issue into a larger dispute.“I don’t even know how to answer the question. We’re not on NoPixel, that’s just how it goes,” he told viewers. “I only got good things to say about NoPixel, but drama is drama, no matter where it’s at.”xQc offered a different perspective. Speaking about the situation involving Chang Gang, he said he did not see the lack of invitations as evidence of a major dispute. Instead, he pointed to the group’s previous decision to leave NoPixel and pursue its own server.“The way I see it, CG left the server, made their own server, had this whole thing about their own server, and they’re happy. But then, is it some big drama because they’re not on it? They self-excluded,” he said.His comments suggest that xQc views the situation less as a blacklist and more as the natural result of decisions made by the streamers themselves.
xQc says past criticism affected NoPixel invitations
The NoPixel co-owner also addressed the broader group of roleplayers who did not receive invitations. According to xQc, some people had previously criticized the server, its developers and its players before becoming involved with competing projects.“A bunch of people left and badmouthed the whole server, and the devs, and the players while simultaneously trying to do this big coordinated campaign takeover/agency poaching/agency doing this hashtag Ad with no hashtag ad, which is also kind of unethical,” he said.“It’s a complete disguise. The way you’re bringing it up is just insane. It’s disingenuous.”There are other explanations for some missing players as well. Certain roleplayers reportedly lost their whitelist during earlier NoPixel versions following bans, while others have simply moved on to different communities or stopped playing GTA RP altogether.For Summit1G, however, xQc suggested the door is not necessarily closed. He said Summit could ask to return if he wanted to, but the streamer has chosen not to do so because his friends are not involved.“Summit, if he wants to, he can ask, and he can play. He doesn’t want to play because the other boys are not in. It’s a nothing burger, no problem, no solution thing. If there was a problem, there would be a solution. I don’t really understand it, to be honest with you.”The debate is unlikely to disappear quickly. NoPixel 5.0 has placed the spotlight back on the creators who helped build GTA RP into a streaming phenomenon, and every missing name is bound to spark speculation. For now, xQc’s message is straightforward: not every absence represents a feud, and some players may have more control over their return than viewers realize.
